Triple Warmer Smoothie - a delicious, calming energy routine.
The Triple Warmer meridian governs the immune system, the fight-flight-or-freeze
response, and the body's survival habits. During times of stress it kicks in to protect
you. However, if the stress does not let up then neither does Triple Warmer - it has
no intention of letting go because it really wants to take care of you. Sometimes you
need to let Triple Warmer know when it's okay to relax.
Sedating your Triple Warmer meridian helps calm your mind and relieve stress.
Do this exercise slowly. It feels awesome.
Place the fingers of each hand vertically in the middle of your forehead.
Breathe deeply.
Slowly S T R E T C H your forehead open, dragging your fingers across your temples
and just above your ears. Continue to breathe deeply while sliding your fingers down
and behind your ears, smoothing your skin while maintaining pressure.
Continue to drag your fingers down, along the sides of your neck, and then let them
hang on the back of your neck, with firm pressure at your shoulders. Breathe deeply.
Relax.
Repeat until you feel yourself bathed in calm.
One last time, repeat again then slowly slide your hands around to the front of your
neck, letting them cross over each other until one hand rests on top of the other. Slide
both hands down over the top of your heart. Hold here for several deep breaths.
Ahhhhhh.
This exercise is so relaxing. So calming. Truly one of my favorites when I'm stressed.
It's also a good to idea to mentally honor the care Triple Warmer has given you as you
are sedating it. It is the mastermind of your immune system. Thank it for its care and
protection and its role in keeping you alive and healthy and assure it that it can release
a little bit for now.
Triple Warmer works very closely with spleen so it's a good idea when sedating
Triple Warmer to strengthen spleen. I will post that routine tomorrow.
