Waking up this morning, I smile smile emoticon
It's a beautiful Sunday morning here in Chapel Hill, although quite cold. I suspected
we weren't going to escape winter so easily.
So, wake up today and smile. You're alive. Take in a deep breath and feel the breath
of God move through you.
There has been a lot of really tragic news in the world these past few months. All of
this just pushes us back into fear, back in contraction, back into the dark. There is no
denying there is dark out there, but you can feel empathy for others without drowning
in sadness.
Turn off your tv for the next.........forever.
Go outside. *b r e a t h e* deeply and thank Mother Earth and God for the privilege it is
to have another day to walk on this planet. Say a prayer for those who are in pain and for
those who are struggling then go out and do something that makes a difference.
Call someone you haven't spoken to in awhile. Let someone ahead of you in traffic.
Hug your dog. Feed the birds. Give a blanket to someone who is homeless. Give up
your seat on the bus. Use less plastic. Smile at a stranger and say, "Hello. how are you?"
Be grateful. Tell your partner and your children how much you appreciate them. Forgive
someone (including yourself)
Make a difference.
